To say I am in love with this coffee shop is an understatement….

I grew up in the small town of Goshen, Indiana with the neighboring cities of Elkhart, Mishawaka and South Bend. And, that might make me a little biased about this coffee shop…but when I refer friends to go there, they agree with me.

The Electric Brew, located at 118 E. Washington Street, is always bustling with customers coming through the door for their coffee fix. The staff at The Electric Brew is more than friendly and courteous, they are efficient and know what to recommend if you’ve never been to the Brew before. The Electric Brew has been an outlet for college study groups and other creativity, as well as the local hangout for anyone wanting to enjoy a great cup of coffee without the prices of Starbucks (no joke) for more than 10 years. It is Goshen’s original coffee shop, roasting their own beans since 2008 for a flavorful cup of coffee.

And the best part: the only thing you really hear is the hum of the espresso machine in the background. (I have been known to frequent there a lot when I have the need to get my writing juices flowing and don’t mind spending a couple of dollars on a cup of coffee.) You won’t get the loud crowds like you do at your local Dunkin’ or Starbucks.

But The Electric Brew doesn’t offer just coffee. Daily, the coffee shop features a wide array of home-made pastries, and a lunch menu that will leave your tastebuds satisfied.

Mocha Frappe (with whipped cream, of course)

Drink Suggestions:

  • Mocha (with the whipped cream)
  • Cup of tea (for those days when you don’t need an instant caffeine boost…and it’s inexpensive.)
  • Iced Mocha (…whipped cream included)
  • Caramel cappuccino
  • Caramel Frappe

Ask them about their specialty drink…or tell the Barista you’re feeling experimental and they’ll pick one for you.

If you’re in the Elkhart / Goshen area of Indiana, I highly recommend stopping in and grabbing a cuppa’ there!
